Our Commitment to Honest Reviews

At DermaSkinHub, every product review is based on genuine, first-hand testing by the author, Ahtisham. Our goal is to provide readers with honest, unbiased information to help them make informed skincare decisions. We never accept payment, free products, or other compensation in exchange for positive reviews.

How We Test Products

• Personal testing period: Products are used for a minimum of 4 weeks before being reviewed, and high-commitment products (like retinols and serums) are tested for 8–12 weeks.
• Real skin, real conditions: All products are tested on the author’s own oily, acne-prone skin in everyday conditions — not in a controlled lab environment.
• Ingredient analysis: Before testing, each product’s ingredient list is analysed using cosmetic chemistry databases and published research to understand what each product is designed to do.
• Comparison context: Where possible, products are compared directly to alternatives at similar and different price points to give readers genuine value context.

Rating Criteria

Products are evaluated on the following criteria:

• Ingredient quality — Are the active ingredients present at effective concentrations? Are there unnecessary irritants?
• Visible results — What measurable improvement, if any, did we observe?
• Texture and usability — Is it comfortable to use daily? Does it layer well with other products?
• Value for money — Does the result justify the price compared to alternatives?
• Skin compatibility — Did it cause irritation, breakouts, or other adverse reactions?

Sponsored Content and Gifted Products

Currently, DermaSkinHub does not accept sponsored content or gifted products for review. All products reviewed were purchased by the author at retail price. If this policy changes in the future, any sponsored or gifted content will be clearly disclosed at the top of the relevant article in accordance with FTC guidelines.

Corrections and Updates
